Post-Deployment FX4 Upgrade

Hey yall. Got back from Iraq about a month ago and had a few new additions to the FX4. Added a Saleen Grille, Hella Blackout Headlights and Blackout LED Tails, 4" Rancho Lift XD Monster 18s w/ 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers.

I ordered all of this stuff when I was deployed and have been like a six year old on Christmas morning opening up all the boxes that have been taking up space in my in-laws' basement for the better part of 2010. I've only got one (cell phone) pic right now, but I'll be uploading more later.

The info I've gotten of these boards has been awesome.

First and foremost, Thank You for your service!

Nice ride, I'd like to see the tails since I also have a step side.

Matt, the heads are easy. Remove the plastic clip from the top and 2 bolts on the inboard side and they slide ride out.

Headlights were super easy. Just make sure you adjust them once they're in. The first night after I installed them I was shining the tops of these lovely georgia pines.

Ian, I'll get some pics of the tails tomorrow for you. They look really sharp.

Welcome home! Your truck looks great...I wish my FX4 was a step side!! I love the black heads and tails on the silver trucks...and that Saleen grille looks so clean! Well done, now go drive that thing!!

Edit: Blacked out or '09+ badges would look real good in place of the OEM chrome ones.

That's my next project. I'm trying to figure out who I'm going to get the inlays from since Patriot Decals has stopped producing them. I've thought about just hand jamming them with a brush.

I've also got to re-paint the fender guards black. They're pretty faded out.

As you can see from my truck, I have the '09 badges. But blacked out badges look pretty cool...pretty easy DIY project. You may want to look into these guys: Billet Badges

As for flares, I painted my OEM flares, cowl, mirrors and door handles to match. Again an easy DIY project. But I like these on eBay:
