Carrier bearing going bad?

If you decide to get a new shaft.... consider just doing a 1 piecer... but make sure it's well balanced!

My old '77 it's easy to change and my '07 is a Scab with a one piece rear shaft with replaceable U-joints. I think it was '04 and some '05s that had the "other" not so easily serviced U=-joints though there are kits out with cutters that remove the staking and adds clips.

U-Joints with grease fittings ..... HAVE to be greased regularly.
Yep that was my truck. Went with the new driveshaft from Driveshaft Specialist. Had to go with a 2 piece shaft because of the long wheelbase.

One thing I see in common with the OP is we both have 8' beds. I wonder why these carrier bearings are getting damaged on the 8 footers.

is it possible to replace the two piece with a one piece from a newer truck? if a supercab 6.5' bed truck from 07 + has a one piece, why couldnt i use that on an 04??

sorry i took this slightly off topic.
