gryphon unless you need the HU, for example mine wouldn't play cd's so I opted for the HU before hi-flow cats.

I have not installed one, but Im pretty sure they are just plug and play. I would search or look in the sticky on that part of the fourm.

i thought they were too but they monitor all these temperatures, and for that i figured youd be adding in temp sensors in random places

also, do i need to buy a tune for 30 bucks? all i wanna do is run 87 and make it shift firmer and get some power if i can do that with 87 octane. all ive got is a gotts mod (dvw mod), and a welded in si/so magnaflow muffler.

hmmm..very true. I hadn't thought of that. I'd see if a quick search turned up anything.

i found an install thread and it seems to be plug and play. looks like it just steals the obd2 wire. its interesting that the truck monitors tranny temps stock, i guess it would give you a warningif it got really really hot.

Easy install... plugs into OBDII port... easy as pie. Trust me. It just sits on the dash and you pop the side panel of the dash from the grab hole. Don't over think it

It just clicks on... trust me man, it is extremely easy. I know people say stuff is always easy when it depends on ability. The mount just clicks on and you stick the monitor in it. Rest easy. Check the sticky in the tuner section by cstanek or something... very simple. Hey, I did it

The pod uses 2 sided tape but it pretty much just sits there by itself.
I would get the Gryphon before a HU.

No two sided tape for mine... just clicks. Don't use the tape. You shouldn't need it. It came with it, but it wasn't needed
