Spark PLUG HORROR!

So I was changing the infamous spark plugs today, and spark plug on cylinder 5, didn't break, well, it kind of did. The aluminum threaded shroud around the spark plug, broke loose, and left the actual procelain in the head, in tact. SO, I had to put the treaded part, back in the block, DON'T yell at me! LOL!

Until I can get a tool to pull out the plug....any one have any ideas?

Got any autoparts stores?
Like Napa or a SnapOn dealer?

I see you're from Piney Flats. I know there is a Napa in Johnson City just outside of downtown beside Colonel Steve's liquor store.

All this talk of spark plug breakage is getting me worried. I changed mine at 100K and had no problems. I did not know it was an issue. Just put a wrench on and turned. Not one broke. I now have 182K and will be replacing the plugs again soon. Should I be worried?

I'm gonna need the liquor store to finish this. Not all 5.4's had the issues. Did you use Silver Anit-Seeze on them?

Check the classifieds - there may be someone selling or renting a used or unused Lisle tool. You can order one online for about 50 bucks.
