Sea foam
Will be taking truck in for the dreaded plug change in a month or so. Question will help to run a couple of cans of seafoam through the tank before taking it in or not?
Looked through post and for every 3 saying yes there are 3 saying no. Since alot more have been changed maybe get better input.

I'm getting ready to do mine and I'm going to run 2 containers of chevron techron fuel system cleaner through mine before with about 20 gallons of gas. Based off my thread and 88racings experience that seems to be a pretty proven idea on what to do. If it isn't what's been helping people I'm sure it hasn't been hurting them!

1/2 of a can of seafoam to a 1/4 tank of gas, flog the truck for 4 or 5 miles, stop engine, pull plugs hot.
I am 16/0 with this method, never broke a plug and the customers truck was over 100k, my personal truck was at 70k. Plugs came out screaming all the way but both sets start to finish in under 2 hours.
I swear by the stuff, been using it since I became a mechanic. Can you over do it? Sure.
Do you need to run it all the time? Nope.
I run it right before a plug change just to help break up carbon and call it good.

Most any auto parts store will carry it (oreilly's, autozone, etc). I believe many Wal-Marts carry it, too. Make sure to get the fuel system cleaner from Chevron, not just the Fuel Injector cleaner. I believe you get more of the "techron" concentrate for your money. For what it's worth, I'm also dumping in a bottle of SeaFoam into a 1/4 tank of gas before I run the techron stuff prior to the plug change.
