new tires and wheels....

I just got some 315/70/17 BFG A/T from a buddy for $500 and they have about 90% tread. So caught a break thre. Im getting some 17x9 Mickey Thompson Classic Locks tomorrow from a different buddy and their like new, all for $250. So caught another break. So i feel extremely lucky getting new tires and wheels for a total for $750. But I was wondering will the wider wheel mean more rub? Mine rub a little now at full turn and their very low tread with an 18" stock rim and i believe their 7.5 wide. Tires are a true 34.5". I do have a 3" leveling kit. Thanks for the help. This setup is until i get my 6" lift. Ill post pics when its all done!

I had that same tire and wheel on both my '04 Screw, and my '06FX4, both had 2" leveling kits. I never had an issue with rubbing. Biggest issue I had, and still do with my new wheels and tires on the '06, is that the tire extends past the outer lip of the wheel wells and the 315's throw everything on to the sides of the truck now. Its a b---- to keep clean in the winter if you live in an area that uses salt. Nice find price wise!
