Question Turning On DRL's in a 2007 F150 Lariat SuperCrew

Hi,

New to F150 Online but longtime browser. I would like to activate the Daytime Running Lights on my truck. From what I understand this can be done 1 of 2 ways. Which is better? I do not want to cut wires but I will if need be.

1. The Ford Factory DRL Kit that I guess you splice into your electrical system. *** NOT PREFERRED ***

2. Purchasing the relay and resistor for the truck. I looked in the engine compartment and yes the relay is open. I have not looked under the drivers side headlight for a capped cannon plug but it is probably there. *** PREFERRED ***

Can method 2 be done easily? I do have the auto headlights. I'm pretty sure I found the part numbers on here.

Love the site, this and f150forum are both pretty good.

Oh, Ford changed the wiring for the 06+ so there is no resistor behing the drivers headlight.
