Since you have a 2008, you could search around for the paintable mirror caps. 2008's have 2 piece mirrors, so you wouldn't need to replace the whole assembly.

I believe the part numbers are: 7L3J-17D742-AA and 7L3J-17D743-AA

I see them pop up in the classifieds and on eBay for around $60 on average.

As for the door handles, you could buy the OEM ones for a premium, or you could look at the Dorman ones. Dorman makes OEM replacement ones that, at least in my opinion, are just as good of quality as the OEM ones for about $20 per handle. Add a couple hundred for painting, and you're set.

^NEGATIVE.

2008 F-150 only have a 2 piece mirror cap when the 2 caps are diff. ( color/textured black, or chrome/textured black)

I thought the same 'till i bought chrome oem caps, and took mine apart it till i saw mines were a monolithic piece, no two piece snap ons.

To the OP double check your mirror caps before purchasing the top portion that is replaceable.

Very, very nice transformation.
Congrats on a great looking truck. Any plans to level the rear? I know you tow and the rake helps but I was just curious.

Yes I had considered it for a while, but I've been towing a lot this year and don't think lowering it would be the right thing to do at this time.
It would look cool though....

I was gonna say plasti-dip your bumpers to black, but it actually looks good either way.

Would dropping it 2" in the rear affect the towing that much? Sure would look "right".

He just added the wheels from the Harley from the looks of it. His looks better than the Harley's imo
