What could be getting wet and causing a miss?

I noticed this, after it rains or like today when i washed my truck when i get back in it it misses really bad for the first initial drive.

Say, if it rains tonight and I get in it in the morning it will spit and sputter all the way until i get to class. When I get out of class it'll clear up and run fine.

I washed my truck earlier, about an hour later I jumped in it to go see the girlfriend and it spit and sputtered on the way over there.. the check engine light even came on. When i left, the light was still on but the truck drove fine

Is something leaking in the hood/cowl? Is there any known issues of this?

This is a long shot..but you might want to check the crankshaft position sensor connection down by the AC compressor.....it's down where it could get wet often.

Go to advance or autozone anf have them put the code reader on it. It's probably one of your coil packs. Mine did the same thing. It turned out to be the #3 position, replaced it and it runs fine.

one of your coil boots probably is torn. Try and locate the COP with the torn boot and you will find your culprit. I found a bad one on mine after driving thru a big puddle (ok it was a small lake)
