Holy crap , I got my 05 S-crew with 40k miles 2 years ago and only paid 20k. Ended up only financing 18k. I also bought it as it sits now with rims, tires and level.

Well just rub it in why don't ya... I bought it 4 years ago before the economy tanked. If it were two years ago, I could have bargained more. If you want to play, you gotta pay...

Oh well I guess. I will be with me for a long time. I can't afford to let it go now!

Thats what one of my friends just paid for an '07 FX4 Supercrew. I forget the mileage but it was fairly low.

I thought it was too much but he thought he got a great deal.

And a $16k payoff on an '04 is insane. I only paid $14,700 for my '06 XLT Supercab with 48k 2 years ago.

that is a nice truck, price does sound a little high. probably could haggle the price down. i would be happy to get 26k for my truck and it is newer, lower mileage, and has a few more options. if you like the truck buy it.

Never never never ever ever ever try to trade in a vehicle that you are upside down on. You will just go MORE upside down on whatever you replace it with unless you have substantial cash to throw in on the deal. It's financing like this that tanked the housing market and led to all the foreclosures and ruined credit ratings. Living beyond your means is a recipe for personal disaster.

Yeah man I have to agree. It was just a want and not a need. When I sat down and started doing the math, my answer was obvious. There is nothing wrong with my truck at all. I'm going to upgrade the tranny cooler and maybe have the fluid flushed. I hope this one lasts me a good while...

Wait a few months and you will be turning that car seat around and most of your problems will go away. I love my truck but I wish that I would have kept my old one (it was paid off) and bought a car for family transporation.
