Has any switched to 4.10s because....

Was wondering because I was thinking, I got bigger tires, I tow quite a bit, and it seems like the truck isn't staying in its power band when I hit the hills. I was thinking it would pull better and maybe even save a little gas. Let me know what you think.

4.10s are only available in 2wd if I recall correctly. That's why alot of the lifted folks go with 4.56's. What are you running now, 3.73 or 3.55?

4.10's are available for the front 8.8, it's just that people usually just go straight for the 4.56 to really gain some of that power back.

what size tires did you go to?

general rule is 4.56 w/ 35's and 4.88's with 37"+

are you 2 or 4wd?

4x4, still got the 3.73 , and there 35s. So 4.56s would be the best bet.

Yes. Going from 3.73 to 4.10 would be a major waste.

I've got factory 4.10s with 31"s right now, spin 2000rpm at 65mph and can get 18mpg hwy/13city.
If you tow at all I'd get the 4.56.

1,850 / 3.73 x 4.56 = 2,262 rpm

I've got 4.10s with 34" tires. Seems about right to me. A little more bottom end than the stock setup.
