Hi

I had a bad time recently and some +*@#$ stole all my emblems, now is time for upgrade, but i can't decide what to put on the sides, tailgate will be 09+, but for the sides i have the option of using the 09+ emblems or the saleen side vents.

What would you put on yours??

PS: My truck is a gray screw FX4.

Well, I like the side vents, but I went with the 09 emblems. I just had to modify them a bit to like them.

I actually just sold my saleen side vents the other day to buy 09+ emblems lol

 

I don't care for the 09-up badges. They look too cartoon-ish to me. Tacky looking.

 

IMO THAT'S what FoMoCo should have provided for the FX and STX models. Matte black surround and color-matched insert.

I chose to do the '09 badges too....but not on the tailgate.
Had somethign else in mind there.
(Plus the guy I bought my badges from sent me the non-flareside badge for the tailgate and it does not work)

 

How did you mod the front emblems so the xlt or lariat tab is no longer on them or are these tailgate emblems?

The emblems are fender emblems. I had to cut the tabs off, and fill in the damage with panel bond, then finish it with some putty. They came out great, you cant tell I cut them at all. I believe the tail gate emblems are to small for the fenders.

I should of done a write up with pictures.

 

I just put the order for the emblems, i think they look better than the vents.
