Question 3" level?

i just sold my 03 f150 to buy my new 2006 f150 2wd screw lariat. i would like to run 35s under it if possible or an oversized 33. but ive looked on here and have seen some guys saying not to go with a 3" level. i was just wondering why, and would a 2.5" level give me the same results anyways.... thanks guys

2.5" is just generally what most people go with, some people think the angles that the 3" creates are too much

3 inch kits make a pretty radical cv axle angle and leaves the upper balljoint very close to the coil, because the upper control arms are so short

^x2. Also, you're going to have a really hard time fitting 35s on a 2wd with just a level. You will have to trim a lot to get them to fit. The general consensus around here is that you can run 33s with a level on a 2wd with stock rims.

oh ok iget it, basically my ball joints and **** would wear out faster if i went with a 3" level as opposed to a 2.5".

i just thought that since i already have 33s on my truck now i could fit 35s (some trimming i already assumed) and get away with it as long as i use the stock rims. But, thats why i started this thread so i could hear from guys who know about it more than me haha. thanks guys and if yall know anyone who has a 2wd like min thats leveled and some bigger tires let me know so i can check them out and see what i wanna do. thanks again.
