What is this next to the throttle body? (pic)
This is a pic of the throttle body in my truck, an 04 F150 XLT 4wd, 4.6L.
On the far left is where the air intake is, the left wiring connector is the Throttle Position Sensor.
What is the round item to the right side with wires attached?
It appears to be some kind of vacuum switch/sensor.
What does it do?
Thanks

Sure it is! That brown portion on the bottom is where the ethanol is stored after it is separated from the gasoline. The thing on the top is a motor that turns an impeller contained in the round thing in the middle. The impeller turns really fast so it can grind up any corn kernels that may not have been filtered out of the gasoline / ethanol mixture. They say it all has to do with emissions, but it's actually part of a huge government conspiracy to keep the price of corn high. If you don't believe me, try unplugging that wire on the top. You'll see, in two or three days, some black cars will be following you around watching everything you do and when you go to get a loan for a new truck, the government will make the bank refuse you. I had a friend that had that happen to him!
