I bought my 05 FX4 with 38K on it....no issues until around 50K when the starter grinded the fly wheel smooth. Other than that had a TPS sensor go out ($40). (flywheel was $1200 or so).

I had an injector fail around 74K miles....replaced by Ford under their 120K mile warranty on the 05 (known injector issues)

I replaced my plugs which you will want to do....TONS of threads on here about the issues getting them out if you choose to do it yourself.

I changed all fluids.....and thats about it. Haven't had any problems with it other than a bad COP after I went through a lake at high speeds (my own fault lol).

I now have 87K on it and it runs strong....going to need a battery soon as it has difficulty starting after sitting for 2-3+ days.
