2005 F150 Supercab Lariat 4x4

so heres the scoop. i have a 2005 F150 SuperCab Lariat 4x4. everything is basically stock except for subs and head unit on the inside.

Looking to put on:
-2.5 or 3" Level
-35/12.50R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers
-Flowmaster 40 Single In/Dual Out exhaust with tips
-Low Profile Black UWS toolbox
- HID's

Any ideas, questions, concerns. would like to add in low budget stuff for interior and exterior to really give it a clean/aggressive look

Truck as is right now:

go with the 2.5 level. the 3 inch can wear out balljoints and cv axles faster, 2.5 should sit you level, 3 inches really isnt needed. good choice on the tires, ive been waiting for someone to put 35 inch trails on a leveled lariat with the 18s. the rest of the mods look fine, except im not a fan of HIDs in the stock housing, too much glare for other drivers since theres no cut off. id spend my money on silverstars, maybe lights behind the grille if you want more light, and then do LED interior, cargo lights, and liscence plate lights.

if it were me id ditch the step boards and tint the front two windows too. if you do any offroading of any sort invest in weather tech digital fit floor liners

preciate it. and the only reason i was considering a 3" level is because im pretty sure they added an extra leaf in the back at the dealership for towing and it sits pretty high in person in the rear.

the 04-05 trucks sit an inch higher in the rear than the 06-08 trucks do. measure your rake, if its stock it will be 3 inches exaclty higher in the rear.

I would stick with the 2.5" leveling kit because the 3" just causes too many problems. You can fit the 35s with a 2.5" and if there is any rake, it won't be very noticable. Also, tinting the front two windows to match the back two would look good.

yeah but these trucks look nose high when they sit perfectly level IMO. its something to do with the body lines of the truck being higher in the front or so. 2.5 is the way to go

im tinting all the way around probably around 15-20%. a friend is gonna do it for $80 and he does a great job with it. and 2.5 seems perfect now

fivespeedsteed,

Do you have a 2.5" leveling kit on your 2007? What size tires and rims do you have?

Thanks

2" or 2.5" and I would consider 33's. Less strain on everything in your truck to turn 33's rather than 35's. Tint the windows and put your exhaust on and call it good.

unless of course you're gonna upgrade to 4.10 or 4.56 gears... then get them 35's
