Smile Yet another year!

Well, another year on my truck... I bought it in 1/7/07, and now its going to be 1/7/2012 soon with only 46k on the clock (roughly 9,200 miles/year). I can't believe it. I still get my 18-20 mpg and it runs perfect. I wish they'd make an Ecoboost with a manual, I'd pay premium for it, but then again, I'm attached to my truck so I'd never trade it or sell it... way too many memories with it.

My mods for this year will probably be a Magnaflow or Flowmaster prebuilt bolt on exhaust system and some nice frame-mounted running boards. Not sure what else to really do to it this year.

I'm right there with you on the manual eco.
Regardless, looks like your enjoying and happy with your truck.

I bought mine exactly 5 years ago today on 1/4/07 and I have 39K on it as of now. I plan on a new set of step tubes or power steps to replace the ones I tore up a month ago. Mine runs perfect also, but I only get 11.3 mpg out of it.

I'll give Ford another few years before I spring for an Ecoboost -- I'm leary about the long-term durability of that engine and suspect it might become problematic as they start accumulating higher miles on these trucks. If they prove to be a solid engine (and they begin offering it in an XL regular cab truck) I might be tempted to buy one to replace my daily driver Ranger....
