$5,600 to fix my 4x4
I got my f150 for Xmas from my aunt couple weeks ago, and when I went to try out the 4x4 I noticed it didn't work. Well it's been in shop for past couple days an it's finally ready tomorrow. Cost 5,600 to fix both axles and couple other parts. Truck has warranty, so I didn't have to pay a dime, but I do have to take an hour long drive to pick it up. I'll take some pics tomorrow of the invoice to show you guys what the problem was.
Be easy on your 4x4 guys.......... My bill of $5,600 is insane! I don't wanna see y'all have to go through this.

Wow...I need to get some work done on my 4x4...low works but sometimes it takes a few tries to get it on and off. Hi doesn't work but i have the old style part under the hood with out the hat to block water...I am holing that is it for the high. that just sounds so high but i have no idea what that kinda work should cost.

Well guys the shop called me this morning and said do not come today because your truck has been broken into; bad guy busted the windows. Truck is at car audio store getting my tvs put back in as I type now though. Sence all my tvs where discontuned they gave me the updated version, AND gave me free viper alarm with remote start. I would not reccomend this dealership to anyone!
They also waved the three hundred dollar tow bill.
But how stupid can they be for leaving my truck outside? It really pisses me off knowing some crack head been running threw my truck stealing my stuff.

I had that happen to me too. I had a car getting fixed and it was parked on there lot locked up like all the other cars. They used a crowbar to open my hood...steal my intake and my headlights (HIDs on a acura) Dealer replaced it all with no issues. It is odd they decided to offer up a new remote start alarm tho.

Most dealers leave cars outside. Theres not enough room to keep every customer's vehicle inside, taking up space.
My truck is at the dealer now. I dropped it off tonight and its sitting outside and will be outside when its done.
I dont see what they did for $5600 to fix the 4wd and why they would touch the rear axle anyway.
I had to get all the bearings replaced in the rearend a few months ago because they were howling and that was $800 with parts and labor (not a dealer though).

You don't need to be easy on your 4wd you need to use it. Like anything else if you don't use it most likely it won't work the time that you need it to. So once a month find a spot and turn the 4wd on and get it working otherwise it will be gone and actually cost the $5,600 to get it fixed.
