Which Manual: Haynes or Chiltons?

Which manual is better/ your opinion: Haynes or Chilton's?

Gotta go with glc, but....

If I had to have one, I'd choose Chilton's. No reason, just personal preference.

if I didn't already work at a shop with Alldata and Ford software....I would get the Ford service dvd as glc has already stated....

just did a google of ford dvd and got a bunch of hits for torrent download sites. Is there a legit source for this?

Not really - a more legit source would be to buy the DVD on Ebay. They are time sensitive, so you DO have to change the date on your PC to run them. I see them starting under 20 bucks.

Got my ford one for about 50 on ebay. Also have a Chiltons or Haynes, I forget

I bought the DVD and found a program to run the DVD without changing the PC date in BIOS. It is free http://www.backdate.net/

Initially I wasn't able to run it. After you read the Help section in the program you'll be good. In the box marked "delay until original date restored" enter 99999. Enter all other fields of data and finish by clicking "Apply and save changes" Then click 'run program' and the name you assigned in the initial steps will appear, double click that and that's it. Each time you want to view the DVD you'll use this program to view it with the pre-sets you entered in the set-up.
