I think you just got a lemon. It happened to my dad too. He has an 07 Sport Trac that's been in the family since new. In 55,000 miles it needed 2 transfer cases, king pin, front diff, and other stuff. Everyone he's talked to with the same truck hasn't had any of these issues. He's selling it now.

Let's make a quick list lol:

- 4 window switches
- 8 spark plugs
- 2 COPs
- 1 fuel filter
- 1 A/C Heater Blower Motor Resistor
- 1 TPS sensor
- 1 O2 sensor

Had to run some restore oil through the rear differential and some Lucas No Slip through the tranny a few thousand miles ago. I'm at 81,000 now on my 06 4x4 XLT.

Not going to hear any complaining from this guy.

Not for nothing (and I'm by no means in his defense), but spark plugs, fuel filters, and I'll even stretch it to 02 sensors, aren't in the same realm of a rebuilt rear end and tranny. Hell, I've had transfer case motor, steering rack, steering pump, and blend door actuator (apparently common) all by 70k, so a few more R + R than I'd like, but I still love my truck

I don't think the poster above you was complaining. I think he just listed what he'd done only to say he WASN'T complaining.

Right ^

I haven't had any of the expensive problems the OP had. I've had a lot of problems that kept my truck from running that I spent a lot of time figuring out but money wise not so bad.

Not down playing the OPs problems, I'm just saying we've all had our share of head aches. Just normal vehicle ownership.

on my 02 4.6 i blew a spark plug and it had to sit for a week and a half until it was fixed, so i had to drive my '78 FORD f250 around till then it was all fixed and drove it for a while and traded it on a 03 FX4 5.4, only problem with it was the shift fork went bad and my 4wd didnt work, fixed that and drove it a year and a half, now i own a 05 f250 6.0

ill always be in fords, no doubt about it. let this guy go to the cheap a$$ GM's or foreigns

I actually think GM has higher resale.. or used to than ford?

Anywho. Man it happens. I'm 25 and had three different trucks 2 gm and this ford. From mine all the way to other family vehicles it happens no matter the brand. Hate to see all that happened to you I know I would be pissed but I wouldn't blame you for trying another brand. Why not? There are some great trucks out there without the blue oval on it (which hell my oval is peeling and looking like chit on a stock 07 keep royally clean.) Haha. Try something else! Just try and stick with American!

Even my Silverado has a delaminating emblem on the tailgate. Maybe more of these parts should be made here in America
