check egine light on and off
#17
if you're mechanically skilled you can check them....perform this on a cold motor only
I'm not responsible for any fuel leakage or breakage....perform at your own risk!!!
1st clean area around injectors....used compressed air to blow away debris
2nd remove fuel rail retainer bolts/screws
3rd pull up on rails in line with the direction of the injectors....you might have to wiggle the rail slightly....
4th prop/tie them up so that paper towels or napkins can be laid under the injectors
5th turn key to the run position BUT DO NOT START..... listen for the fuel pump to prime
6th look at napkins paper towel for signs of drips or injector spraying
7th if one is found bad replace all of them....there's clips on the fuel rail that need to be released to get them out
8th to reassembled lightly coat the injector orings with motor oil and gently but firmly press the rail evenly down
9th reinstall fuel rail retainer bolts/screws
personally I'd go the warranty route first if your truck's under 120,000 miles
