Tires for 2005 F-150 Supercrew 4x2

I have a 2005 F-150 Supercrew 4x2 that I need new tires for. I was looking at putting LT265/70/17s on it, but can not get a definitive answer on if they'll fit. The truck has not been altered in any way, ie lifts, etc. Every dealer I talk to just wants to know what size it came with or they "recommend keeping the size it came with". If the 265/70/17s will not fit, what do you guys recommend in all-terrain truck tires? No passenger tires. This last set got 25K and I'm not at all hard on my truck.

Those will fit fine, however, they are taller and your speedometer and odemeter will be off unless you get a reflash or use a tuner.

Here is my 05 with a 2' rear drop and 265/70/17 Michelin LT/MS

Yea man they'll fit. I'm currently running them. I like them better than the oe 235's. Speedo is off like 3 or 4 mph now though, no biggie.

You only got 25K out of a set of tires?! I got 45K out of the stockers, lol. I like my Nitto TerraGrapplers for an A/T tire. They have great wear, are quiet, and ride pretty well even though I have the LT and not the P-tire. I'm running LT285/60/18's though.

Been running 265/70R17's on my 2WD since the day I got it. That's what was on it. Door jamb tag says it came with 235/70R17's though.

Looks better with the bigger rubber on it.
