Superlift lift kit any good?
I am looking at a 4 - 4.5" lift for my truck, and am looking at the Superlift. I never see any of them on the forums, but I know they are out there, as I have actually seen the guys are 4Wheel parts installing them. I just don't know if they are worth a hoot...
Can anyone clue me in here?
My other option is the Rancho, and I can't seem to find them in black anymore, so I would end up having to pay to repaint the suspension components on top of getting the stuff and installing it... (I don't like the bright red free advertising for Rancho under my truck...)

i have the superlift kit. i really like the front design with the skid plate integrated. The rear is only an add a leaf. i was planning on putting 35" from the start. My front tires rubbed allot. I bought the billstein shocks that are adjustable from 4 to 6". i have them set on 6" and i have a 5" lift block plus the add a leaf on the rear. No rubbing. Anything less than a 6" lift
35" tires will rub unless you never plan on turning. Buy the billsteins and the 5" procomp block. $12.00 from 4 wheel parts. Do not use the bump stop brackets from the kit. also buy extended brake lines ~$100.00 from summit for all three. Just swapped the gears for 4.56's . acceleration is allot better. only put ~20 miles on it after the gear swap.

The size tires are 35x12.50R18 Toyo M/T and from what I can remember they rubbed just a little bit but nothing crazy at all.

I think I have explained this previously, but I am in a funny situation. I just love the look, and function of a 12.5" tire, and these trucks look, well goofy with anything smaller than a 33. I was never happy cosmetically with the 285/70R17s I had. They were a good tire, but just looked like a space saver spare to me... I don't want to do a tall lift because, well I have a short wife, and will catch all sorts of grief if the truck is too tough for her to get into...

Back to the short wife issue... I am pretty sure 4.5 wouldn't be a problem, 6" would start the fussing...

I'm wondering if the rub problem is because of the sidewall knobby things...

Pro Comp 1089 in 17x9 has a 4.75" backsapcing and 6mm offset.
Pro Comp 1079 (your model rim) only shows available in 17x9, and features a 4.75" backspacing and 6mm offset. (a LOT of the sizes previously offered on both of these rims are GONE now...)
Which is why I was wondering about the side biters on your tires.
Also wondering if my trimming will help prevent that...

Superlift sells a 4.5 and a 6" kit. The 6" kit consist of +2" billsteins and a spacer for the rear over what comes with the 4.5" kit . My wheels are the XD monsters with 4.53" backspacing with 35 x 12.50 x 18 nitto trail grappler mt's. Like i mentioned earlier I installed the +6 billsteins for the front and had them set to the +4" setting. My tires rubbed on the cab allot. After setting everything for a 6" lift my tires will only rub if the suspension is flexed real hard. I dont know what people are doing with leveling kits and 35's but from my expereince it wont work correctly. Like i said go with the 6" setup and you shouldnt have any problems.anything less will rub and you will be dissappointed.

At 4.5" backspacing it gives the truck a nice wide stance. Why would anyone put 35x1250 x whatever on stock rims? rubs the body , rubs the frame, i prefer not to rub at all. get the full use out of your upgrades. at 6" of lift , its just enough to crack the seal on most women. You remember what you had to do on the glass bottles of ketchup to get it flowing.
