First Mod For The F150

Last couple weeks my f150 has been going through some repairs. New ball joints, UCA, tie rod ends, front brakes (rear are going to get it soon), and U-joints. My stock UCA's were toast, the inside of both front tires are coned, one showing belts. So I get on craigslist and find a set of 33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's for a hundred bucks. I know what you're thinking...junk. I thought the same but they weren't too far out of the way so what the hell i'll take a look. I was nicely surprised to find a pretty dang nice set of tires! They aren't even down to the wear bars lol, nice sidewalls, no dry rot or anything. So i'm gong to get it aligned this weekend and the new meats mounted up. Thinking I might bend up a set of rock sliders for it this winter, they're pretty easy and will provide a step that my wife has been asking for since i bought it lol.

Then i'm going to repaint the bed rails, and cowl, tint the windows, and change the tranny fluid (around 108k on the clock).

At the same time I get the pleasure of dropping the transfer case out of my 1 ton for a rebuild...woohoo...my fleet is in need of attention lol.

Great looking truck, Code. And yeah, that tire/rim combo does look good. Glad you found that stuff, nobody around here ever sells stuff dirt cheap, or even cheap lol.

Good looking truck. Gotta love craigslist. Picked up a set of goodyear takeoffs from a dodge ram for my 20's
$80 with 8/32 tread.

That looks awesome! ...and here I thought my old General Grabber AT2's were aggressive... Great GL find, here I thought I was one of the few people on here to buy most of my stuff used (So far I've never had to may retail on tires, 5 years strong! Haha). But anyway the truck looks great, I can't wait to see what's next!

Wow that truck looks awesome with those tires!!

I'm in need of getting new tires b4 winter strikes and after looking at your truck, I might jump on a set of MT's.

Thanks guys I really think it looks nice the way it is. I do want to tint my windows soon, and paint the trim. Also thinking about throwing a sub in it but that's a low priority thing.
