Thats what it means partner. Seen plenty of youtube.com videos of people hatin life after those plugs break off in the head or even worse chunks of plug fall in the combustion chamber.

yep. Coil On Plug and as far as i know, F-150 engines havent had plug wires since 1999 when even the 4.6 went to Coil on plug. I think they are a pain in the booty because back in the day you could just buy a set of plug wires and be done ya know. nice lookin grille on that black supercrew. slick lookin ride in general

wish ya the best in doin the job tbear, i know i was a happy camper when i pulled out a normal lookin plug. my truck had some kind of "power slip" around 45mph and i thought it was the trans. Fixed! Again, wish ya the best of luck in the job! Your saving yourself a ton of cash doing it yourself...i was quoted $600 and that was from a guy thinking i had the old style plug....you know how mad i would be if i would have hired the guy for $600 only to find out he had a easy tune up with the new style of plug? I would have upper decked his toilet for sure to say the least!

Not entirely positive, but the 5.4L Triton in 1997 had COPS, I dunno when the V6 or 4.6L Triton went to COPS.

My barber has an 03 with Coil Packs, told me mine would need service around 100K--I told him my truck has COPs and wouldn't. I'm at 134K as of this week and have had no problems. Though I did do a spark plug change at 102K cause I figured it was time
