How rare is this truck?

My buddy has a 2005 Scab with a 5.5' bed. Thought I would share some pics of it with y'all since I have not seen many trucks like his. It's sitting nose down hill in the pics, the rake isn't so bad on level ground.

2005 XLT 4x4 4.6

Tires are 295/70-17's

I don't think they're all that rare. My dad had that exact truck at one time but it was an 04 and white. Personally, I think appearance wise that's the best looking configuration. Everything's proportionate.

I've only seen a few in my life. Nice looking truck, but I like having the extra foot of bed space.

My dealership sells dozens of F150 each week, and I've seen only 1 over the last year and a half. Can't recall ever seeing one on the road. I think they're pretty uncommon and I thought it was cool to see one

I see them occasionally. Personally I think they look a little out of proportion.

It looks better than a SuperCrew with a 5.5 foot bed...

Shorty box SCAB isn't that rare. What I don't see all that often is an XLT with a 4.6L, especially a 4x4... They exist obviously, but I don't think there are that many of them...

The pictures of that scab with a 5.5' bed kind of remind me of those old toys you'd put in water and watch grow.. but got taken out of the water before it was full size.

There are tons and tons of 4.6 XLTs, even with 4wd. XLTs with the 4.6 are probably more abundant than those with the 5.4

It is certainly uncommon to see the Scab short-beds, but I wouldn't go quite as far as calling it "rare". It certainly isn't "rare" as far as drawing a big following or commanding a higher price than any other Scab. I too, think it's a bit odd-looking, but not bad.

Man, you gotta quit being so jealous that your wife likes the bigger backseat in my truck versus your Scab!
