Thanks, Darren. Of course, I can't be one of those idiots that says they're gonna do headers, lift, etc. and NOT do any of them

Thanks, John! And yup haha. Guy came up with a good name for my truck when I told him it was 2WD, "FXFake" I actually like it and will embrace that name from now on.

Took some new pics with my buddy's new GMC last night. He had the cleanest 96 white OBS 1500 that unfortunately got totaled a few weeks ago when someone hit him. He had done a solid axle swap with 10 bolt GM axles from an '83 and it had only been done for about 5 weeks before it was destroyed. For those curious, the GMC has a 5" Superlift, 3" body, fresh 35" Mud Grapps on 16" billets. He's going to repaint the roof, bumper pad, tow mirrors, get new headlights, and maybe a few other things to get it looking fresh again.

The longhorn one is my new favorite picture. We also had an f150forum meet that was great.

I am IN LOVEEEEEE with our new pic uploading software! It was super overdue, but I love it! So much more convenient.

That thing looks so clean! Love the stance and the poke! How are you liking the lift so far?

Thanks, Baticus! I'm absolutely loving it. Because mine is 2WD and so low, it makes the truck IMO.

It does make the truck. I probably will never lift mine, but yours does look killer.

It's a lot less "necessary" to lift for you 4x4 guys. Thanks though, I'm loving it! I hope you get the D bag's insurance to pay for your bumper so you can just fix the bumper and brackets yourself and pocket some money haha.

Regardless of how necessary it is to lift, your truck is still one of the cleanest I've seen.

Oh, and you 'mericans have it too good. Last time I had windows that dark I accumulated 300 worth of tint tickets.

Nice! Very nice! Are you going to paint to match bumpers?

Thank you, sir. I love hearing stuff like that. Clean except for the dented bumper haha

We get ticketed pretty bad, it just depends on where you are. I have my front windows down 95% of the time unless it's raining, so that keeps me from getting tickets. But I have a buddy with all the side windows as dark as mine along with 20% on the windshield, and he get $400 windshield tint tickets with pretty high frequency and refuses to take it off haha.

Thanks! Possibly. I'm either going with paint matched or NFAB (on the front, the rear is getting a Ranch Hand or PTM). I was set on an NFAB for a long time until this week, but they just aren't as "clean" as PTM OEM bumpers. Regardless, something is happening because someone hit my front bumper and it annoys me so much that it's dented. PTM OEMs are also cheaper.

I think my problem with getting paint matched ones is that they'll get rock chips and I have a hard time justifying spending money on bumpers that are merely "stock." That make sense? I'll probably make a pole on which I should go with, and I'm sure most are gonna say PTM haha.

Truck is getting 4.88 gears probably late next week, early the week after, depending on when the parts get in. So I need a job before I handle the bumpers.

Well the 4.88s went in last night

I can't get on it AT ALL for 100-200 miles, so I can't comment on the difference yet. But I can tell you I'm running 2k RPM at 60 MPH I can't cruise on the highway at sustained high speeds for long distances until I hit 500 miles, and I do need to be somewhat gentle for that duration as well, so this is gonna be a long couple of weeks . . .

Glad to hear you got the gears in. It must pull off the line much better with no throttle effort now. Once broken in it will be good to hear your feedback.

Did you get the Mag-Hytec diff cover while it was apart?
