Fancy! Im sure you'll like the gears once they are broke in. Can't wait to hear the feed back!

Did you get the Mag-Hytec diff cover while it was apart?
I can tell it's pulling a little better now, but I've still yet to get on it at all to test it.

I kept thinking about a Mag-Hytec, cause I love the looks of them and they hold 6 quarts versus 4 to keep the gears cooler. But, when I "need" bumpers and other things, I just couldn't spend the $300 on one when I'd rather spend that on a Saleen grill or a retrofit. They also make fluid changes so much easier, but it takes me 4+ years to drive 30k miles.

Me too! I'm so ready to start ragging on it and feel the difference. I can tell that it doesn't feel like the equivalent of me trying to run with weights on my ankles anymore. That feeling while driving was almost as annoying as constantly worrying about my poor transmission haha. I'm a worry-wort in case y'all haven't noticed.

I'm kinda thinking I should've gone with 4.56s instead but because 37s are a potential item for the future, I wanted the gears to spin those. I really can't drive very fast at all on the highway anymore haha. But I knew that going in and I wanted to be different cause everyone gets 4.56. Ish gets real when you don't want the same gear ratios as other people

Put on the grill that came on the truck when I bought it, but it used to be chrome and I painted it. Sits over the honeycomb, which you can see and I don't like, but I think I'm gonna cut the honeycomb out or paint it black. Put a white emblem on too.

Nice emblem!! What's that Chrome thing on the front of your truck? I think you have a matching one on the back as well... They could use some paint... Haha.

Looks neat. I'm partial to the fx4/STX style however.

Thanks! I'm gonna plastidip it white this week and see how I like it, then move forward with getting rid of those things

I actually have been liking the chrome a little bit recently though haha.

LOL!

You're the first one to say that, but I do really like the H bars too. I'm gonna repaint it and make a decision. I like stock grills, and the Saleen, but I don't feel like paying for one haha.

The chrome isn't the worst thing. You could have a pitted painted one like me. I really need to get on that. Low maintainance for the win.

To be fair, you've got a LOT of other things going on Maybe powder coat it so it doesn't happen again? I've thought about powder coating them instead if a shop can assure me that it'll be a good enough match.

So why didn't you paint yours? Or are they really that hard to open.

I never had trouble opening the taillights up. Couple tries maybe but straight forward. I'm not too scared to pull a lens off. Just never look forward to the glue/caulky residue clean up.

Your truck looks silver in the pics Kent.

I destroyed that one in the top of the pic, guys haha. It cracked every time I put the screw driver in, then a piece exploded off the corner and I've yet to find it . . . So I gave it a shot, but had to just buy some. Not something I wanted to spend $157 on, but oh well.

Does it? I guess it kinda does! Must be the wax and the way the sun is hitting it. That work-truck Oxford White actually looks pretty cool in the sun sometimes.

Darren, I'm gonna stick my exhaust videos up on my IG eventually, so you can hear it. Should do it today if I remember.

I agree with the price tag. That seems to be how I'm feeling in regards to finding a saleen style grille for my 04. I don't wanna pay $350 for one. I just want a look alike with the low end price tag haha!!

Ryan.

There was no going back once I broke that one, so oh well, it's just money. I want a Saleen grill as well, but I'd prefer to pay the old price of $180 instead of $300. But the grill on my truck now is good enough and lets me retain an emblem, which I like.

You can't even find the Saleen grille anymore. They took the website down.
