'11 F150: What do we know, whats speculation
OK the order bank for the 2011 opens in 2 months/today and the order guides will be out around then too. (knowing Ford they'll list the powerplants available but "TBD" the # on the EB and 5.0L) Luckily its summer and time flys. Its time to see what we've heard and summarize to date:
What will happen:
- 3.5 EB available (Ford confirmed)
- 3.7 V6 base engine(Ford Confirmed?)
- SD productivity screen will be available (youtube vid)
- EB will have class leading power and towing ability (youtube vid)
- Raptor SCrew available / 6.2L std. (Ford Confirmed)
What may happen:
- I read somewhere 2011 will have telescoping steering wheel. (like SD)
- 5.0L Coyote will be available. (mass specualtion)
- Lariat Limited will be available (pickuptruck.com)
- Electronic Steering (pickuptrucks.com)
Speculation:
- A few guys on the "inside" claim they will lose some weight over and above the EB being lighter.
- Some say 6.2L is Raptor only
- Some say Harley also gets it
- Some say Platinum also gets it (optional)
- Some say Lariat+ get it (optional) :o
- Some say XLT get it (optional)
- Some say with max tow you could get it?
What am I missing here? Any other additions?

What will:
- new colors for the Raptor
More maybe's:
- the 2011 Super Duty was supposed to get a factory installed remote start, it never arrived, they might be saving it for the 2011 F-150
- Fusion type key to go with the remote start
- heated wheel
- new colors for other F-150's
- painted grilles, and Harley head lights and tails on more models, maybe in a luxury package
- improved mpg on all engines
- hill descent control on FX4 (probably saving that for the all new model)
Edit: - also electric steering (per pickuptrucks.com and it is already in the 2011 Mustang - will also improve mpg)

You know what they should do? Just ditch the chrome bezel on the tails altogether. Make it like this for the regular F-150's if you can't make them all dark like the Harley. I don't know anyone who really likes the chrome on the tails. Just get rid of it. No chrome tails in 2011.

5.0
I can't wait for the new 5.0 engine. I've been looking closely at the 2011 mustang GT and and fighting the urge to order one everyday. I'm driving a 2003 FX4 with a 5.4 and I love it but gas milage is about 13mpg. The 5.0 is supposed to be near 20 mpg? Hopefully about a hundred horsepower more than my 5.4 too.
From what I've read it's going to be near the end of August before we know what we can order and what the price will be and then November before the first ones start showing up at the dealers.

Im thinking these will most likely be some of the new options - just following the Ovals typical yearly upgrade scheme...
1. Telescoping steering wheel - all models
2. Power scope mirrors - with tow mirrors
3. Back-up sound alarm
4. Productivity screen - like Superduty
5. Lockable storage under rear seat
6. Power inverter in center console - like Superduty
7. Locking differential - all models
8. Three-blink lane change signal - like Superduty
9. Autolamp with Rainlamp feature
10. Manual shift on transmission - like Superduty
11. Upfitter switches - like Superduty
12. New colors
