2011 Platinum / Lariat Limited / Harley Davidson
Which is the premium truck for 2011? The base options for the Lariat Limited including the 6.2 engine seem to make it and the Harley Davidson the top of the line F150's for 2011. The Platinum seems to have been kicked down a level. Any opinions?

When the Build 'n Price site is up, then you can answer your question better. Like someone else stated, it's almost like a Choose-Your-Preference type thing between those 3 models in a way.
The HD is kind of a niche thing, like the KR. It has only a couple paint colors, some weird paint swirly's along the lower sides, and has some different looking leather contrasts inside (thank gosh they changed them recently, because they looked pretty ugly before).
The Limited is harder to call since they only did it once before, at the very tail end of the '04model life-cycle. It has that lettering on the side, and like the HD, you get stuck with the 6.2L.
Far as I can tell, only the Platinum gets the nice grille and tailgate applique. Those 2 things serve to set it apart visually from all the others, even at a distance. You have more engine options too, further making the HD and LTD more niche models for those with specific tastes.
It should be fun to check the Build site to find out what exactly the LTD has compared to the PLAT, and vice-versa. But with the exterior visual cue's and the EB engine choice, I still think of the PLAT as the top trim level. But if you don't need MPG, and you have a leaning toward a very specific kind of look, there's the HD and LTD right there. (and Raptor too, forgot about that thing)

The HD and Limited are exactly the same, 6.2 AWD but you can put it in 2 WD mode and 4X4 High but no low option. HD you get custom leather as well. The plat you get options, everything is standard on the HD and Limited except, tailgate step, bed extender, and rubber mats.
In the Plat you can get eco boost, locking rear diff, front tow hooks, etc...
I am debating these 3 trucks, and will make my decision when mileage comes out later. Seems you are paying 800.00 extra for the Harley Badges.

Same issue
I am having the same debate. Notice that the brake controller is an add-on in Canada as well. Currently I have a Sierra Denali, and love the AWD, so am leaning towards the Limited. Just not so keen on the white. The HD without the stripes might fill the bill. Also think the 20" wheels are more practical than the 22. Any of you pull the pin on order yet?
