(the Bluetec rumor was awhile ago... I am just curious. It should be the cleanest burning engine by 2010)
Yes, the diesel for the F150 is being developed in house.

And yes, it uses technology similar to Daimler AG's BlueTec system, with the use of urea injected into the exhaust at times to decrease/minimize NOX emissions.

Stearling trucks is useing the dodge cab for the 350 450 versions with the CTD, Ford dealer where I live carries stearling trucks, odd to see new dodges with a stearling grill at a Ford lot.

I'm really thinking of moving up to a diesel truck ( shoot me now with the price of Diesel flue )

I thought Ford sold off volvo, land rover and asston martian

I think they plan to keep volvo but are trying to, or in the process of unloading land rover and jag.

I am a diehard ford man but if a cat diesel goes into any of their trucks that would do it for me!! Either that or get a V10. Cat does make pretty decent truck motors but I still would rather have the Cummins. Cummins is pretty much the only thing keeping dodge in the game. This might sound crazy and it would have the same problems as a cat but I would Put a 4045H Deere engine in one if i had the extra time and cash. If ford did get the cummins that would be a hard truck to beat and bad for the comp. This conversation will be going on the next 10 years it sounds like

So the most important part of the vehicle is made by ford but ford doesn't own any % of them thats kinda weird to me LOL Good news for the 4.4 though
