Not trying to be a smart azz, but you are certain the 2009 ISN'Ta FULL REMODEL why? If the lack of a brand new engine isn't a full redesign, then you need to look at the other manufacturers as well. Many new models don't receive new engines in their redesigns, as well, the first year. And as far as the grunt the 5.4L puts out, I think many truck users would take it over any other on the market today. Ford still makes the best work trucks on the market. They may not be the first across the finish line, or first off the line, but dragging a load, and doing it repeatedly for years, the oval still reigns (yes, my opinion, but not alone ).

From what we are all hearing, the 2009 is supposed to have a new much larger cab (larger than the Mega Cab)and bed, so obviously the frame will need to be enlarged (and as far as redesigning the structure of it - why would they mess with something already the best on the 1/2 ton market). With the diesel coming shortly, I'm sure they have considered what changes will be needed to make the enginge bay and frame accomodate the new mill already. The interior is all new as we have spied - new dash, seats, instruments, etc. The wheels appear to be new from what we have spied - and they obviously will be. And the transmission is supposed to be a six-speed. So, that leaves... what? Tires? Seatbelts?
