I wonder why they didn't mention a v8 in the turbo/direct injection article? A v6 with 350 hp and fuel economy is impressive though.

I saw the same or similar article recently. I immediately thought wouldn't it be great if my truck had that. More power, torque and better gas mileage. I question whether they would put it in the mighty F150 though. I'm afraid people might not like idea of a 6 cyl F150 vs a V8 even if it is a better engine. Thoughts?

Well normaly I wouldn't wait but wif its true we have to wait for Job #2 for teh 6.2L , well then I guess i will be waiting...

My only decision is to get 5.5 or 6.5 ft box.... If I get a 6.5 ft I'll be tempted to get a 5th wheel camper vs. current TT.

Here is an official pic of the 2009 Platinum Edition F150, New York Times broke the Embargo and posted the pic.

This version is designed to replace the Lincoln Mark LT, and hopefully the F150 FX4 and Lariats will not be so Chromy.

I've always loved Ford trucks (all years) but I think that grille looks bad. I hope the other models grilles are more like current body or SD ones.

Notice that even though the 2009 is a complete redesign, they went very conservative overall, similar to the Expedition redesign.

Instead of looking like a redesign, it looks like a mid-cycle facelift. I guess they don't want to rock the boat.
