Time to start checking off the days on the calender. Are they going to release any specs on the truck on the 14th or just release it for show?? And keep us wondering on the exact motors, power rating and trannys?

I would have told you the I'll let you know how the bugs are, but I've got my order pen ready now. I was/am actually going to order a 2008 this Monday. I don't want to get caught in the order pool with "that option is no longer available" like I did when I tried to order a 2007 Superduty just before they retooled. I know the 2009's aren't slated to be built until July 2009, but with June being the month they will probably shut down to get everything changed over, I would think May will be the time we will see option availability dropping off because the 2009 is basically a thorough redeisign and they'll want to cut it close. It looks like the 2009's won't really be ready until about September, and that will be too late for me, so a 2008 it probably will be. This will be the first truck, if I order it, that I have ordered since about 1992. All the others I have had have been off the lot or located. I hope I can get all I want if I do pull the trigger on a 2008 Supercrew.

After buying an 04' I'm waiting a full year of production on the new model. Not just to work out the bugs, but all the dealer/factory incentives.

It better have a 6-speed auto and more power, or I may not change.

No, the Super will go if I get any new truck. Uncle Sam sure screwed up with the new diesel regulations. Between the emissions junk and the price of fuel, I can't see diesel as the option for me anymore - not at $0.60 a gallon more than gas just to get worse mileage and commute in a lumber wagon. If it was my own rig, would maybe be able to justify it based on on "want". But, with it being someone elses investment (company) just to carry my butt around for 50,000 miles a year, I can't justify it to the Boss that I "want it". It's quite overkill for me for a daily driver, and I'm getting reminders. For the few thousand miles a year I pull my travel trailer (6,000#), I should be okay with a Supercrew.
