That truck is magic!! It went through all that mud and still came out clean. I would buy one just for that feature.

Ya, know, I've been thinking, but I still can't get over the hump that I'd be satisfied dragging our 28 foot travel trailer behind an F-150. With the primary use being a daily driver, I am working on it, though. I have even considered a 2008 F-150 again, but am afraid the bottom will fall out the minute the 2009 hits the street.

I am in the process of looking at buying a new F-250 again, but with the cost of diesel, I may look at a V-10. A current 2008 F-150 only cost about $4k less than a comparably equipped F-250 (with the V-10), and the F-250 offers so much more capability. The cost in fuel difference even with V-10 mileage sets the yearly fuel bill within e few hundred bucks between the diesel and the V-10. My odometer mileage is not as high on my current F-250, but I have a few jobs starting next week that will add a grand or two to the monthly mileage, which will nail me real good for higher mileage in September when the 2009 F-150 will be here. Then, there will be no rebates, too. Right now, the Superduty is pulling $5,800 in incentives, which works well with a truck bought below invoice. I'll keep you posted.

Nice truck smokewagun!! I really like the 06-07 f-250s. These diesel prices really suck! I would hold on to your f-250 because its going to hold its value. My neighbor has a 06 f-250 with a v-10 and gets 12mpg at best and 8 pulling his kart trailer. I know that the old 7.3s got good economy but I am unfamiliar with the 6.0 and 6.4. Maybe wait til mid 09 when the 6.2 engine comes out, they are supposed going to have really good mpg with the direct injection.

6.0's got very good mileage. 6.4's WAY different story. Thanks to EGR, and the DPF, they get about 13 mpg city, empty. Stupid government....Let's save the environment by making diesel engine exhaust a little cleaner, yet nearly cut fuel mileage in half!!
