Is there no more bench seat and column shift

I still have not seen any of the new trucks with a column shift. It is just my opinion but I really dislike a floor shift and buckets in a truck and really hope the column shift is still available.

That comment made me think of my Grandfather's '69 Chevy. That sucker had three on the tree with a big old wooden *** on the end of the shifter handle, and of course a bench seat. I remember one time he couldn't get it into gear and he just beat on the shifter handle until it broke, and then it flew around the steering column about ten times before stopping. Another time, his blinker got stuck on and he fixed that with a ball peen hammer directly to the bulbs. (They didn't have anger management training back then.)

I haven't heard anything, but I'm confident that there will be at least a 40/20/40 option, along with a column shifter. Hey, why don't we satisfy you and the dude who is calling for the manual transmission and put six on the tree? You'd have to change hands to go from 3rd to 4th...

There is no reason to knock someone else's opinion. My personal preference is the 40/20/40 and column shift, and you know what. A six speed manual (on the floor of course) would make me trade my truck for a new one in a heartbeat, and I love my truck. As it stands, I have not seen anything that makes me want to trade my truck.

I apologize if I offended you, that was not my intention at all. In fact, I prefer the column shift and the bench as well. In fact, that's all I've ever owned, and it's what I am presently planning on when I finally get a new F-150. The big question that I have in mind is whether or not it is going to be an 08 or an 09.

Your post just reminded me of a couple of fond memories that I have of my Grandfather, that's all. That '69 Chevy was bad **** though. It was green, had about a half acre of chrome, and a huge cattle cage on the back.

As a matter of fact, I seem to remember a spy photo with a column shifter, so that should be a pretty good indication right there.

That's mine I like having the room on the floor in front of the console to throw my hat and gloves, or whatever else.
