The bad part is the price of an 04-08 Model just dropped a few more grand.

They're GIVING 03's Away!!

Which I guess is good if you're in the market for a good/Cheap truck...

The 2009 is why I'm only getting new tires now and not wheels and tires. My truck is nearly paid off and I'm going to be waiting for the EcoBoost engine and 6 speed tranny. If that combination makes an impressive mpg gain, then that will definitely be my next truck.

But that means I'm buying in 2010 - so if gas is $5 a gallon or higher then I might just be looking at something based purely on mpg. I already hate going to the gas station as it is since it takes almost $100 to fill up.

Agreed! MPG is key. My '04 has been paid off for 2-3 years now. Won't buy another vehicle unless I can just buy it outright, paying interest on depreciating property is not a smart financial move. Is that 1mpg increase the final official word from Ford on the 5.4l in '09? Bleh.
