Like the cut away detail they are using. I also like how the ended up storing the jack. Not taking up room under the seat that could be used for something else, like now.

Right, then playing off they knew it was the 250 when they clearly didn't.

This is a far better place for the camera. It looks better and you wouldn't have that HUGE blue oval sticking out of the tailgate.

I know someone mentioned theft as something to consider for the camera. Would someone really want to steal one of these little cameras out of a vehicle? If that is truly the case, perhaps Ford wanted to hide it better under the Ford symbol? Just a thought.

Gottcha. Didn't realize that Ford had the current model year on display while trying to create a buzz for the '09.

However I seem to remember a picture of the '09 XL trim with the current center stack. Can anyone confirm this?

I have to wonder if there's a reason or two for it to be like that. Perhaps it protects the camera from ice and snow build-up? I know the back up sensors on my '04 get water/ice in them and then whine like there's something in back of me when I reverse when there's nothing there. Only when it's been icy/snow-sleet out, or on rare occasions after washing. Perhaps camera is under there for protection so it always works correctly even in severe weather conditions, perhaps where it is now was found to not be such a workable location in all weather conditions?

I really doubt that Ford took all that into consideration when they designed it. To me it looks like they put it behind the emblem because they felt it was a cool place to put it.

I kinda think they would have the same effect in ice and snow
