Look what I found at the DC Auto Show

So my in-laws (wife's sister and husband) and I along w/ our kids went to the DC Auto Show. I had two objectives. Get pictures of my oldest w/ Spiderman, and sit in the 2009 F-150. Well, I got the picture of my son w/ Spiderman. Ford had the '09 up on a revolving pedistal, so no luck in sitting in it.

I can say that pictures don't do the truck justice. It looks much better in person. Don't ask me how that is, I don't know. I just like it more now than I did before when all I had seen were the pictures on the internet. I won't be trading up anytime soon. I'm house poor w/ enough mortgages to choke a horse.

Anyway, I wanted to get some pictures of the interior, but that didnt' happen either. Also, I had my wife's point and shoot Cybershot. It's a decent camera when I'm not operating it. Lesson learned: turn off auto-focus while taking random shots at moving displays or in crowded rooms.

On to the photos:

Remainder of the gallery: 2009 F-150.

As they say in Chinese Restaurant's, "Enjoy!!"

You lucky dog. Thanks for the pics of the best looking truck on the road. I don't get to see it in person until the New York Auto Show at the end of March.

For any that might be interested:

I picked up 5 extra brochures at the auto show. I don't know if these are available at the dealer or not. Anyway, if you would like to have one, PM me a mailing address (doesn't have to be your home, just some place you can receive mail) and I'll send you one.

Thanks for the pics! Love that blue! What did you think of that color up close?

I really wish they would offer flat OR glossy pillars, the flat black look so dull and very noticable from a distance. The glossy really blend into the windows and make it look really sharp, the flat ones just stand out so much, seperating the two windows with this random grey area. I know some people don't think it's a big deal, but it makes a big difference to me. What is it about the glossy pillars that Ford is so scared of? My '04 looks GREAT with them!

I really like that blue. It reminds me of the same blue that was on my '93 Ranger.

Would those mirrors work with an 04-08 f1? They seem to be the same install point and shape.

I can't wait to see one in person. That way I can verify my opinion that it is the ugliest f150 Ford has ever created. How can they go to the best looking model f150 (04-08) to the worst looking model f150 (2009) in one year?
