one site that you can find the order guides is www.sunrisefordfleet.com

I emailed them almost a month ago (Feb 4) and he said at that time that the guides should be available within a few weeks. Well, they are not on their site yet.

I also read that another person said they aren't usually available until the order bank opens (which is May 16 for the 09 F150).

no, they just have all the features and options for each truck model. Check out that website I posted and goto the download center and view the 08 guides.

I guess we'll have to wait until the prices are on the Ford website or a car website like Edmunds.com or something.

XLT with floor shifter

Anyone know if the XLT ('08 or '09) is available with the Floor shifter like in the FX2/FX4 without getting either of those packages? What features determine wheather they build with floor or column shifter? Transmission?

Thanks,
Jeff

I doubt it. It's currently not available in the XLT for 2008. Every single truck model comes standard with the column shifter (including the FX4 and Lariat). Now with the FX4 and Lariat, you can get the floor shifter as an "option", and according to the 08 order guide, roughly 65 to 70 percent of those trucks are built with the floor shifter option. FX2, Harley, King Ranch are "optional" packages that also come with the floor shifter.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll have to get one of those packages.

Cheers.

I wonder if the 2009's will have strange things that hold up production on certain models or equip chosen. Back in 2004 there were a lot of hold-up's for people who ordered the overhead rail DVD system, and also for anyone who ordered the Blazing Yellow paint.

Will be exciting to see the order guide, I really love some of the interior additions like the Sync and the Sony stereo system. And of course NAV (which I couldn't believe the '04's didn't have at the time). All voice-activated of course. Factory remote start. Platinum sound-deadened windshield. There's a lot of cool little things like that that really add up to a lot when you put them all together. I'm back and forth trying to justify a purchase. Waiting for Ford or those in the know to convince me with more facts and figures as it gets closer to order time. Convince me it's worth it to upgrade from my '04, Ford.

I want to hear from testers if they are actually quiet inside or not ('97's were, '04's were NOT). Merging into traffic from a stop or onto highway from ramp in SCREW - better? still same? If you crank stereo, does it create rattles? Does radio still have settings? Driver Seat, Passenger, Rear, etc? Lots of little details don't know about yet, want some real-world feedback.

Yep, order guide would be nice.

I doubt we'll get factory (installed) remote start. You can factory order the remote start on the 08's, but then it's still installed by the dealer.
