2009 at dealers
I was wondering if anyone has a realistic date when the 2009 will be at the dealers. my lease is almost up and deciding if I should wait 09 are there or look for a 2008. lots are pretty empty around here with 08 and not many to trade for around here. Any updated info would be helpful thanks

YES I have a 3 yr lease. I leased in the latter part of 05.I think I will roll over into another lease so I am not worried about the new model as it will all be covered under warranty. I really would like to get to see one up close(09) to know if i really want to wait. maybe I will just buy the 06 outright and keep it for a few more month's and see what's out there. this had been my third supercrew and has been the best by far.

Your dealer *should* be able to arrange a month-to-month extension of your lease. Ours did this when the lease on our 95 Explorer was up, but our new '97 Expedition had not been built yet. They extended the lease on our Explorer for an additional FOUR months until our new truck arrived! This was a Red Carpet Lease through Ford Credit.
Don't buy your current truck unless you plan on keeping it a long time. Resale is tanking big time right now because of gas prices!

I have a 2 year lease on a 2006 that expired in April. Knowing I couldn't order a 2009 until mid May, I simply called Ford Credit to extend my lease explaining that I was waiting for the 2009s to arrive. They were very helpful and had no problem with it. As of now, my lease is extended through the end of July but if the 2009 I have on order doesn't arrive until August or September, Ford Credit assured me that extending my lease a couple more months would not be a problem. Moreover, your milage allotment under your lease should not be an issue if you extend because you'll receive additional miles for the monthly portion of your original lease (i.e., 1,250 miles on a 15,000/year lease).
