*VIDEO* 09 F-150 racing the Tundra, and F-150 wins by a mile!

Heres a couple videos I found of some guy racing a Chevy and the Tundra in the new 09 F-150! I love the sound of the F-150 though, sounds very smooth and mean.

Um, line them up side by side, and show its a 5.7 yota.

Other wise I can make a video and say there is a Ferrari behind me that Im smokin but no one knows it but me.

310hp and 365tq plus more weight wont help against a 381hp 401tq and less weight.

It doesnt add up at all. Unless it was a 6.2 boss pushin more power. Hell, its why a 500hp F150 will be equal to a stock 380hp Lightning. Its all power to weight.

i thouhgt it was 320hp 390tq and the new 150's are suppose to be lighter plus a 6 speed tranny which will free up a lot more hp...... but i do agree that the vid doesnt show much vs the chevy and yota.

That first video pretty much shows nothing other than letting us listen to the engine. That guy is pretty impressed with his one handed driving though. The 150 sounds pretty dang good, I have to admit.

Gr8 engine noise... sounds much better than the whine from my power steering pump and the harsh noise from the cam phasers in my 5.4L

But other than that nothing... reminds of the commercial Ford was goign to use showing us out towng a hemi back in 03/04... Never did make it to tv.

Oh and I'd have to witness us beating a 5.7L toyota with a 5.4L. Proabbly even the 6.2L I'd have to witness to believe.

i think the guy in the toy did not know the ford was racing him....no way the ford walks 10 trucks on a toyota,,,maybe new nubmers and new tranny, he could pull away but not up and leave and just about need the zoom lens to see him.

ford needs to release some numbers

I wouldn't take it so seriously because it was obvious that the guys in the video were just kidding around about there being a race. It was a test drive! This was an event for the dealers to drive all of the trucks and see how the the new 2009 F-150 compared to the other trucks. The guy who posted the video had this to say about the performance...

We were in Romeo, Michigan and the proving grounds where Ford tests all their vehicles. It was an organized event for one person from each dealership out of the southeast region. We spent Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday last week learning about the new truck. I had never driven a Tundra, but did assume it was a good truck. I can honestly say it did not perform even as well as the Silverado and nowhere close to the new F150. The 08 F150 doesnt perform as well as the new F150 either.

And the shifts sound so much better and crisper than my '05. The one thing I don't like about my '05 is the crappy shifting tranny, especially while towing my travel trailer.
