I have seen photos and videos of the different 09 models. I unfortunately saw the blue FX4 extended cab online and thought it was the most god awful version of the F-150 I have ever seen. I liked the supercrews in it various models, KR, Lariat and so on.....I just went to the store and saw my first 09 F-150 in person and it was unfortunate because it was the blue extended cab FX4...I have to say it was worse in person than on the internet. That blue is horrible and the whole package on that FX4, wheels trim everything is just terrible. Just my 2 cents...all of the other models I have seen are nice but that blue on that truck is a big dissappointment.

Wasn't trying to upset anyone, just throwing my opinion out there like so many others do on this forum, and I wasn't bashing anyones truck in particular just stating my opinion on this certain model and color combination...

I understand you're not trying to bash any individual's trucks, but that is because nobody owns one yet. Coming here to voice an opinion is cool but what I think that really makes me mad, is not when they criticize the 09 but when they add their own rudeness to the comment, ie "the whole truck is horrible, awful, etc" If it's that bad, don't buy it. I personally don't think I should ever be kind to people that are being rude themselves, but that's an opinion I guess.

 

I love the blue here as well...It def my fav of all the colors offered. Reminds me alot of the Azure Ford Blue almost. Can't wait till they come out!

 

So has anyone else seen one in the general public? I have yet to see one and would like to see on in person.

 

Sadly I am going to have to agree with you. It is a real shame what they did to the front end and to the rear end. It is now the second ugliest truck out there behind the Dodge Ram. The grill and all that just looks way to big for the truck. Don't get upset fellas, if you love the truck more power to ya. If I were in the market today I just could not put down my hard earned money on this truck.

 

I usually buy a new truck every 2 years, but I think I'll pass on the '09. It's OK, but the grille is gawd-awful and the blue is too close to the wimpy Nissan/Toyota hues. Makes me glad I bought a 2007. Guess I'll have to wait to buy a new FX4 until they give the new body style an update.

Quit ur bitchin. It looks way better with the chrome grille and chrome bumpers. The only one i have ever seen in person was in baby puke yellow in the STX package. . Cant wait to see some XLTs in person. Gotta love that big grill.

That's probably the crappiest one of the whole bunch. And if that's the nastiest one and it still looked good, that's saying something at least. I'd love to see one too, wish they let each dealer have an early one to show off and instill excitement with (and preorders too). All I want is to walk around the exterior and get a feel for how I like it or not; I know the interior will be amazing.

 

I just talked to a ford mechanic and he told me that the new trucks are going to be able to cut cylinders at highway speeds to save fuel..
