The new dodge looks so droopy and sad.

Still shocked how they went from tough looking back when they were competing with Ford's '97 F-150 model, to looking so forlorn and dejected in their new '09 form. How do they hope to compete with the '04 (or even the '09 refresh)? Very sad, dodge 'ol chaps; don't let the gate hit ya on the way out. Or the tundra tailgate, there's another tale of woe all its own.

Let's all hope Ford doesn't let anything like that happen with their new design now that they're done with the current refreshing and can focus all their attention to the new design (in between getting little cars made - or brought over here anyways).

 

Dodges biggest mistake, with this truck, in my eyes, is that they apparantly don't offer tow mirrors.

No offer of tow mirrors on a pick-up. Are they stupid?

IMHO pickups should come standard with a good pair of Tow mirrors.

 

why put tow mirrors on something that cant tow lol. COIL SPRINGS in the rear LMFAO

 

Well this is the problem with dodge. I see a paper ad in post going on about the new dodge and it was saying things like

0-60mph in 5.4 secs (who cares it's a truck)
Best MPG (Arghhhhhhhhhh they make me mad)
highest cornering rate of any truck (again who care's it's a truck)
Most aerodynamic in class (errrr compared to what year trucks, ****'s)
Most power in class (errr what class?? must be the class that it's in on it's own!)
best ride in class (Well if i rides anything like the durango, no thanks)
Best interior in class ( WTF it's a cheap looking copy of the f150 interior)


Wouldn't be so bad if any off the above were true but none of it is. The dodge is designed as a image truck and nothing else.

They better hope that it's nothing like the durango because my mother in-laws is a pile of Sh**

 

I also saw that '09 Ram requires the higher priced plus gas. The '09 F150 runs on regular. When the ecoboosts come out they will also run on regular. Advantage Ford.

You can run low octane in the Dodge, it just won't make rated power. Looks like the same thing in the 09 Ford 5.4 - it makes rated power on E85 but lower power on gas.

 

Of course but the focus of Dodge is the 390 hp. If you can't get it without running the higher octane gas then that is an issue that needs to be raised.

The F-150 can run on regular gas, E85 or anything in between and it doesn't lower horse power.

 

Which one do you like? I would have used some better pics (like these) of the Ford. I love the 2009 Ford but I think you gave Dodge the better pics in this vid. The close up of the running boards for example was kind of pointless.

 

It looks like Dodge tried to make the truck look like the front end of a Charger. F150 all the way!!!!

Lol thats funny as they are saying things like front end looks ugly and interior looks cheap lol. Funny how the dodge has a worse front end than any truck on the market and cheap copy of the ford interior. Well i guess that if you have more power it means everything else in the truck must be better!!!!

 

I think the dodge and the ford are ugle in the front end. I hope the ford will grow on me. I really dont understand though how anybody can argue that dodge is better quality when they have never had a good reputation. A friend of mine had an 08 rental dodge when he wrecked his truck. It was quick but the interior was crap. Dodge is always just trying to keep up with Ford and GM quality.
