09 rebates @ Planet Ford

not sure if this is region wide or not but i received an email from Planet ford out here in houston area they are doin $8500 off 09 supercrew xlt lariats and king ranches

copied out of email:
Planet Ford is kicking off the New Year by liquidating the remainder of the 2008 inventory. The last of the 08’s will be gone after this sale, so don’t miss out on these savings. Employee Pricing Plus is also still available through the end of the month. So if the vehicle you’re looking for isn’t listed below, rest assured, you can still get the bottom line pricing without having to haggle. With that in mind, check out this months specials….

2009 F150 Supercrew: We're taking $8500 OFFthe new 2009 Supercrew XLT's, Lariats, and King Ranches. We have over 200 to choose from!

I think that is saying $8500 off of sticker including rebates. With X-plan and $3k rebate, I was right at $9k off of sticker when I bought my 09, so it sounds reasonable.

If that is off of MSRP with incentives then its a decent, but not stellar deal. I got a total over 10k off my Platinum.

You do know you can go to fordvehicles.com/f150 and configure a truck the way you want it and it'll show you the MSRP, current incentives, etc right?

Yes I do. I unforunately dont have time to price and build an 09. I have been without a truck for over a month now and the insurance rental runs out soon. I figured I would treat myself to the Nav radio this time and a few other options. It replaces my 06 FX4 that I totaled right before Xmas.

No offense, but it takes about 3 mins to build an 09 online. (I just tried it.) And if you are serious about being ready to buy a truck, you need the information on available options and costs to effectively negotiate. Going by what a half dozen posters to this forum, in various regions of the US paid is interesting, but hardly helpful.

Good luck!

No offense taken!! I misunderstood, i thought you meant ordering a truck. Since I wrecked back in Dec, I have been on the fordpartner sight looking at every option available and incentives. The posts on the sight did not drive me to buy a truck. I shopped till they told me truck was going to be fixed then the repairs went from $12k to $16k leading the insurance company to total my 06. Hence im short timed witht the rental car and found a good deal!
