Try ford parts on line for 6.5 Bed the left bed step no is 9L3Z-1520040-B, there is not kit yet for the right side step. The cheapest I found was Ford parts on line from CA.

2010 Box Steps - Installation?

2010 4X4 XLT Super Cab 6.5' Bed
Drivers Side 9L3Z-1520040-B
Passenger Side 9L3Z-1520040-D

These are the optional box steps that are between the cab and rear tire. I think they are a $300 option if ordered with the truck. Mine does not have them and I would like to get them. My dealer wants $900 installed!

I can order on-line for $272.50 shipped to my door. (per side)
My question is - Do these just bolt on? No cutting, drilling, etc.? Difficult to install?

Thanks,

Dan

Go to this site. You can download the installation info.

http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/GfaWeb/techSpecs.do

Select Installation instructions, exterior, step bars, and select F150 (2009-CMY) Box side step installation instructions.

I installed one. Paid about $300 for just one from dealer.

Yes, they just bolt on, no cutting, no drilling. Not difficult. Takes maybe 20 minutes. Hardest part is lifting the assy up to catch first bolt. Good luck.

I ordered, received, and installed the drivers side step. Easy to install and works great! I ordered the passenger side today.

$240 + $32.50 shipping from www.fordpartscentral.net - Great place to do business with.

I like those steps, but not for $275. Pretty pricey. Anyone know if these fit on the 5.5' bed?

My understanding is no. Only fits the 6.5 and 8' beds.

When I was looking to buy my 09 I really wanted the bedside steps, but I wanted the 3V V8, and all of the ones on the lot that had steps (with an 8 foot bed) had the 2V 4.6l

So I bought the 3 V V8, then I bought the drivers side step from fordparts direct (last August), then just last month I noticed the passenger side available from TASCO, for $50 cheaper than fordparts direct.

The instructions are so easy they include the size wrenches to use, and it takes 5 minutes to install each one.

I like those steps, it is a diiferent model #'s for my 8' box than the 6.5' box, and they are different model #'s from side to side.

As for snow and mud, up here in Michigan (in winter) the steps do collect it, but they stil pop in and out on demand.

Greetings DAN:

YEP these just bolt on, No cutting, drilling, etc.
everything is included, the instructions even tell you the size of wrenches you need. Takes about 5 minutes per side once you have all the parts laid out. Mine is an 8' box so I believe the model #'s are different. I like 'em they are great.

TIP do not cut the tie wrap untill they are installed on the truck, if you do you'll know why.
