What do you guys think of this grille? I like it for the Lariat and King Ranch.

Lightbulb

That's a big leap over the '04+ billet grille's. Those things were absolutely hideous. This one doesn't make as big of an impact, keeps a lot more of the factory default grille shape and style, so not too bad either way. Will save me from heaving like I do every time I see an '04+ (or even a '97+) with those nasty billet grille's available today.

Wonder why Ford even bothered putting the plastic eggshells/crates in the Lariat/KR grilles anyways? Would probably look nicer without them in there? I'd do a photoshop if I had the inclination, but I love the Plat grille so ixnay on spending the time to do that.

It looks very easy to install too, that's always a big plus.

Comet, why keep on busting on the billet grilles, lots of us have them here. Most stock grilles = boring! It's nice to have a custom grille to set your truck apart from the million other F150's on the road.

as far as the new truck, I see they had a lower bumper billet grille too, but those black pieces in the bumper above the tow hooks really ruin the look of the bumper.

Man you said it. I think the first after market company to give us something to replace these black ugly plugs with will make a killing. Does anyone what purpose they serve? I know that is the first thing i want to change on mine. When and if it warms up im going to take a look under there and see what is behind them and how the connect. And i have to admit this is the first time i have ever thought the billet grill looked good even thought i dont really care for the bolt over would rather replace the wholde grill instead.

Hmmm I wonder what wil come out for the new FX4 grille...

I'm not a fan of billit grilles on 99% of trucks, but that looked fine on the 09.

I wasn't sure if I liked this one at first, but it has grown on me a little bit. If you go to Street Scene's website they have a full overlay as well, but I didn't like that one as well.

Those are overriders on the bumper.

Pat Schiavone talks about them in the 3rd video on this page:

I disagree looks stupid and not tuff. Almost like they couldnt think of anything to do with the open space so lets put this cheap piece of plastic in here and call it protection. lol It probably the thing i want to change most about my new 09 if i had to change anything that would be the first.

I'd advise not looking at what... a good 50+ % of the trucks on here? 75%+? Look around at all the people running some version of a billet grill... and you call it nasty

Exactly. A majority of posters here are big modifiers of their trucks. Understandable for these message boards of course, but boy oh boy do I hate those billet grilles.

About 10 minutes ago I got home from ordering my '09 at the dealership. Will very glady stick with factory Plat grille. Although as stated previously, that first one posted by Rambo doesn't look nearly as bad as previous ones I've seen, in fact doesn't look half bad even. I'd stay far away from those strange mesh ones though.

Where do you get this grille? Doesn't show on their website.
