Not trying to be rude, but so what is special about this truck. Except the color.

Question

Barritia, you've had yours awhile now. Still like the color? I keep going abck and forth between it and the brilliant silver i ordered. Does the white sand have any metallic flake in it at all?

Barritia - nice looking Platinum..is that the 6.5' bed? Have you considered removing the 4x4 stickers on the bed? I did on my 05 and will probably do the same with the '09 Platinum Also, what mods do you have - exhaust, intake, tune, etc?

CF - great - you just had to order the same color as me...JK sounds like you have a head start on me - so I guess you'll be the first silver Platinum poster on the board I'm still going back and forth about the color choice too...my 1st choice was the white sand metallic, then I went back to the brilliant silver and I saw an awesome looking (pics) black platinum today as well. I'd probably get the black, but my '05 Lariat Screw 4x4 is black and it has to be parked outside...it has been a BEAR to try and keep it clean...these trucks are just too big to hand wash once a week - not to mention waxing, etc. I'm pretty sure I'm sticking with the silver...but feel free to get the white if you want

I was going through the same thoughts after i picked that colour. To be honest my wife picked it and said that it's a really nice colour so i went ahead and ordered that. Well a few days later i thought i should have ordered another colour but glad i didnt. The colour is different in different lights. In the sun it looks great and really stands out but in low light it just looks like flat colour. It does have metallic in it but it's just a different kind of metalic look. It's hard to catch on camera. I would go and see if you can find one to look at in the sun. You wont have a lot of time to change your mind on the colour. I think silver will look good on the platinum as well but wife hates silver cars so that was off the list.
