Question 2009 locking fuel plug and side kick steps?

Has anyone seen the locking fuel plug and know what the retail price is? Having a open fuel tank filler give me the *******.

I was also looking at adding the side kick steps. Any info on these?

Thanks

Steve

Why ya worried about not haveing a locking cap?? I think it's great feature that all cars should have.

The side steps are very useful for grabbing things from ya bed. Im would miss the if i didnt have them now.

See this thread. Both products can be found in the accessories site I posted.

Was told by the dealer today that ford has not shipped any add on "kick side steps". Was supposed to be a standard item. Only way to get them is to order it with your truck. The locking fuel plug is not in stock either.

I got my locking plug last week! I had the same feeling on the open gas filler. It seems to work well and is easy to use! I payed approx $45.00 canadian for it.

Yeah. It's the only option on the truck I did not care for. I would have liked a locking gas door with the open gas filler option. Now I just want to get my hands on the side kick steps. They are a option on the 6.5 bed trucks, but mine did not have them.

Where did you get it? I actually paid $38.62 can with tax for it. Just wondering where you can get it for $22.00 can with tax?

I called the dealer in San Diego. The online price was $19 and they matched it.

Did you already buy the truck or are you just thinking about it? You might want to buy a truck with the steps because I heard there was a problem adding the steps after the fact.

It's a oval shaped plug that sits flush in the filler neck.

There's photos of it installed in my photo album "Wide Angle 2009"

I bought the truck in Jan. I heard the same about adding the kick steps.
