Vehicle Health Report

Not sure if everyones truck came with the update or not. Went to the dealer the other day and had them update my truck while I waited. Here is a photo I took afterward of the connection the Vehicle Health Report made. I just wish the data was a little more detailed like the OnStar reports.

So far it appears that you will not miss anything if you don't have the VHR. Most of the items it monitors seem to be the same things that most DIY'ers are going to continuously check anyhow. It seems to be more of an advertisement for dealer services.

That sucks you have to go to the dealer to get it done.... guess I'll put that on the list for my first service.

OK, I went to syncmyride.com and followed the update procedure. It was successful, but still don't see the Vehicle History or 911 call options. The website says the 911 setup must also be done at the dealer. There must be some liability reasoning for this??

Yup, you can update to v1.2 but you still don't get the two bonus goodies.

My guess would be it requires a PCM update or something funky for the SYNC system and truck to talk; thus, Ford doesn't want customers flashing the PCM and possibly ending up with a bricked truck in their driveway.

Didn't work

Is there some set up with your phone you have to do to get this to work? Or do you have to have a certain type of phone? I have my phone connected to the system, but when it does the VHR, it tries to send for about a minute and then comes back with report could not be sent at this time. Do you have to have internet on your phone or something?
